This unique and unusual plant is a cactus with long square shaped stems that produce little seasonal leaves on the nodes of the new growth. Bright red purple berries are edible and delicious. The plant has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. It makes a wonderful windowsill house plant and fits unusually unique in a collection!

Description
This cactus thrives under dry conditions in bright indirect light and partial sun. It enjoys temperatures above 50 degrees F, protect from freezing temperatures. Make sure to let the soil dry completely in between watering, greatly reduce watering in the Winter. The plant flowers in early Spring and Summer, the fruits followed after are enjoyed in September to December.
