This is a large, tropical, deciduous tree that produces large red flowers in late winter to early spring. Grafted plants can be grown in containers. Nice plant for a collector.

Description

Plant the tree in full to partial sun.
Water once or twice a week.
Fertilize 3 times a year, not during dormancy.
If you have to trim the tree the best time is right after it’s done blooming.
This is a huge tree but it can be kept small by trimming. Trees can be seen in full bloom around 8′-10′ tall.
