This is a very rare, narrow, tropical tree. Super unique for its variegated leaves. It produces showy large heads of pom pom or bottle brush-like yellow blooms.

Description

Xanthostemon Variegated – A beautiful tropical tree native to Australia. The flowers are a golden-yellow color that grow in dense clusters. They can reach to be between 15′ – 20′ if not trimmed, but they can also be kept around 8′ if desired. They have some of the most beautiful foliage with their variegated leaves making them the perfect tree for collectors in tropical areas. It responds well to pruning and can be easily shaped into a shrub, hedge with annual pruning. It’s a great plant to have in your garden if you are looking to attract more pollinators such as birds and butterflies. The plant is pretty hardy and can tolerate dry soil. Once it has been established not much watering is needed; however, with moist rich soils, it will thrive. It can also take light frosts.
