This orchid is native to Brazil. It is a miniature, warm growing epiphyte that produces red purple flowers that are so dark they are considered “black”. The flowers emerge from new, mature pseudobulbs, blooming in late Fall and Winter here in Florida. 

Ships in a 3″ pot, does not come with flowers.

Description

It prefers very bright indirect light, high humidity, and warm temperatures. The less light, the slower the plant will grow. Sphagnum is a good medium for this orchid, it enjoys water, but should be lightly dried out in between watering.
