Hoya merrillii (4″ pot) (check back later)
This Hoya has very attractive glossy and thick leaves. It has pale white veins and sun-stresses well. It produces fragrant yellow flowers when mature. This is an easy to grow species for beginners. I would recommend especially for foliage lovers.
Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2, shows an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.
Description
The species has appealing glossy green leaves with a pretty vein pattern. The leaves will turn beautiful shades of reds and purples if you expose it to high light (not full sun). The venation intensifies with these stunning colors. I would recommend for the foliage lovers.
Once established, it produces fragrant yellow flowers. This species is a reliable bloomer for me during the warm months. Native to the Philippines.
We grow our hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light. We only water them when they dry and we protect them very well in the winter.
All photos were taken of our mature mother plants, not the plants for sale.
