Hoya hybrid EPC-1018 (4″ pot)

$25.00

We formerly sold this as EPC-1002 and then EPC pink tip corona. There has been a lot of confusion lately over a few of Jack/Epiphytica’s hybrids. We recently (summer 2023) had a long text discussion with Jack to try to clear it up. He confessed that he had a few new hybrids without names/numbers and he ended up giving/selling them to a few friends (we were one of them) and just quickly made up EPC accession numbers. Much later, he organized his hybrids and ended up changing some numbers around. He told us as of summer 2023, that this one should now be EPC-1018.
Very pretty leaves with pale white venation. Can develop silver flecks and some pink “bruises”. Stunning vitellina-like flowers with citrus fragrance. Grows very well for me.

Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, shows an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description

Original information I wrote, but I was told that Epiphytica made a mistake on the ID:
A very new Epiphytica hybrid. It is a cross between H. vitellina and H. finlaysonii.
Pretty leaf with few silver flecks and few pink marks. Pink probably comes out with more light only.
It bloomed for me after 8 months from a cutting. Flowers typical H. vitellina, simply stunning! Flowers have a citrus scent.
Very new and rarely offered.

We grow our hoyas outside in south FL. They are grown in filtered light and are watered only when dry. Must protect well in the winter.
