Description
Climbing onion naturally occurs in dry desert regions of eastern and southern Africa. It is commonly grown by plant enthusiasts as a houseplant or in the garden. It goes dormant in Winter. Water regularly during the growing season and almost not at all during the dormancy period. Protect from freezing, it will suffer below temps 50 degrees F or lower. Grow in gritty well draining soil in part sun or shade.
