Description
Sedum requieni – Petite Succulent Groundcover
Sedum requieni is a delightful, low-growing succulent prized for its tiny, plump leaves and soft green coloration that may develop creamy tones and subtle pink edges when grown in bright light. Its trailing, mat-forming habit makes it an excellent choice for shallow pots, dish gardens, fairy gardens, hanging planters, and mixed succulent arrangements. This resilient little plant spreads gently over time, creating a lush, carpet-like effect with minimal care. Its compact size and forgiving nature make it perfect for beginners, while its texture and form appeal to seasoned succulent collectors as well.
Light: Bright light to full sun for best growth and color. Indoors, place near a sunny window.
Water: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common issue.
Soil: Well-draining cactus or succulent mix is essential.
Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures; protect from frost. Ideal range is 60–85°F (16–29°C).
Humidity: Low humidity preferred — normal household conditions are perfect.
Fertilizer: Optional feeding during spring and summer with a diluted succulent fertilizer.
