Description

This low-fuss elephant ear needs atleast 8 hours of bright indirect light and mid-high humidity to keep its foliage growing large and upright, too little light and it will get leggy whereas direct sunlight will fade and burn the leaves. Make sure the upper half of the soil is dry before watering, and use a coarse potting mix that drains well since sitting in water will create root rot. An example of a mixture could be orchid bark, perlite, pumice, sphagnum moss etc… Do not keep this plant near a draft and do not over-fertilize due to chemical burn, which will show up as scorched or wilting leaves.
