Description
This is a spectacular cross between H. deykeae and finlaysonii with very unique leaves. The emerald green leaves have a beautiful vein pattern and have a different round shape with blunt tip. The leaves also sometimes have a lot of silver flecks. I am very impressed with the large foliage on this one.
It bloomed for me after one year from a small plant. The flowers are very similar to H. meredithii or H. vitellinoides and have a delicious citrus scent. Very rarely offered for sale!
I have seen a hybrid circulating as H. ‘Svetlana’ that looks like this one. I need to do more research to confirm.
Our hoyas are grown outside in south FL in filtered light, they are watered only when they start to get dry, and they are well protected during the cold months.
