Description

This Hoya develops big leaves that remind me of H. latifolia, but they are more oval shape. The very thick succulent leaves have prominent veins and also sometimes develop some silver or pink flecks.
This Hoya bloomed for me after 1.5 years from a poorly arrived cutting. It just shows that this is a strong species. The buds are really pretty; yellow with burgundy splashes and spotting. Once open, the corolla is a white to beige color and the corona is pink with white tips. The flowers smell absolutely wonderful. The individual flowers are also larger in comparison to H. carnosa. Once mature, you can see multiple umbels on your plant at one time.
This Hoya is very rarely offered for sale.

We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, they only get watered when it rains or when the soil drys outs, and they are well protected from cold temperatures because they are tropical. The information provided is based on growing in our climate and environment only.
