Description
Commonly misspelled as Hoya golamcoiana.
This species is a fast and easy grower for me. I recommend to grow this Hoya in a container, wrapped on a little trellis versus in a hanging basket. It tends to grow long sprawling branches and may take up more room if just hanging loosely in a basket. This species produces super pretty, white to light yellow with pinkish center, shooting star flowers. The flowers last a long time and have a spicy fragrance. This Hoya is similar to Hoya cumingiana, but has bigger leaves and lighter color flowers. I would recommend this Hoya to a beginner. This species is native to the Philippines. We grow our Hoyas outside in filtered light, keep soils slightly dry, and protect from cold temperatures (50 degrees F and colder).
All photos were taken of our mature mother plants in bloom, not the young plants for sale.
