Hoya madulidii (2.5″ pot)

Large chocolate flowers with yellow corona. Very unusual and rarely offered.

Ships in 2.5″ pot. Photo #2 is an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description

Hoya madulidii is a similar Hoya in appearance to Hoya ciliata. The flowers are a mahogany color with a banana yellow corona which really pops out. These large, star shaped flowers are unusual and gorgeous.

The leaves are pubescent, but not as fuzzy as our Hoya ciliata. The leaves also look a little different than our Hoya ciliata, they are bigger and more shiny. This hoya is a fast and easy grower, but one must be patient to see the blooms. It is rarely offered for sale.

We grow our hoyas outside in south FL in bright filtered light and we protect well from cold temperatures because it is tropical. Hoya madulidii requires more water than your succulent hoya especially in the summer time. Keep in mind that this does not mean that it likes to be soaked, especially in the winter.

All pictures were taken of our mature mother plants, not of the young plants for sale.
