A rare tropical fern that is very easy to grow. It has two different kinds of leaves; the basal sheets that start out green and eventually dry out and the normal fronds which are long and crested. This fern is epiphytic, therefore, it can be grown in hanging baskets or mounted on a piece of wood. It can even be grown attached to trees in frost free places. This fern likes to be grown in filtered light and likes good drainage. It does not mind a little drying out. Avoid keeping this fern too wet. Fertilization is average. Avoid freezing temperatures.
