A beautiful terrestrial, compact ground orchid. They have long, medium green pleated leaves which contrast beautifully off their showy, deep purple, clustered blooms. They have a grape-like fragrance making them a fun addition to your orchid collection.
Ships in 6″ pot. Does not come with flowers, but is mature to bloom.

Description
Spathoglottis ‘Grapette’ – native to Southeastern Asia, and the Philippine islands. They are terrestrial orchids which means they do not require any special type of media such as most epiphyte orchids. They can do very well just by being planted right into the ground in the right temperature conditions. They do well in temperatures around the high 80s during the day but do not like evening weather cooler than the 50s. They can take light shade to full sunlight. They need good moisture but won’t do well sitting with their roots constantly wet, so allow them to dry in between waterings. They have pretty, showy, deep purple flowers with a fringed yellow lip, which grow in tight clusters, and have a grape-like fragrance.
