Description
This species produces pale yellow to sunny yellow flowers with pink and white corona. The flowers are super pleasantly fragrant at night. Once mature, the plant can often produce multiple clusters of flowers at a time, making a nice display.
I have read that this Hoya is similar to Hoya neoebudica. The only thing that reminds me of H. neoebudica is the name. The flowers to me are more similar in appearance to H. limoniaca and this Hoya is native to New Caledonia just like H. limoniaca.
This Hoya has grown easily and pretty fast for us. The leaves are also really attractive; glossy/shiny, small to medium size, and round or cordate shape (heart shaped).
We grow our Hoyas outside in S. FL and this information is based on our growing conditions only. They are grown in filtered light, they get watered only when dry, and are well protected from cold temperatures.
