Talauma hodgsonii – Hodgson Magnolia (check back in 2025)
This Magnolia is a small evergreen tree that grows in tropical and subtropical climates. The handsome leaves are long and leathery. Beautiful large flowers are produced in April and May and are fragrant. The flowers are really pretty, normally white with greyish purple markings toward the center.

SYNONYM: Magnolia hodgsonii
Native to the forests of Himalaya and Southeastern Asia in a subtropical climate. Flourishes in a stiff clay soil. Full sun to part shade is best and they enjoy moist soil. Protect from freezing.
