Sophronitis cernua is traditionally a small genus of the Sophronitis variety. They are also known as Cattleya cernua or The Nodding Sophronitis They are loved for their orange-red flowers which are clustered at the end of short inflorescences. They grow about 2.5 cm in diameter and open one by one.

Description
This particular species of Sophronitis are one of the only ones to tolerate warm temperatures. They benefit from good air circulation. Their leathery leaves and roots will grow in a mat-like manner over their mounting to form a dense covering. They preferred to be mounted but can also be grown in pots in very well-draining medium.
