This is a rare and exotic flowering tropical tree. It is an evergreen shade tree. It produces small but unusual and interesting fragrant white flowers, smells like an aromatic spice. The fragrance remains for a very long time after being picked, traditionally making them used for ceremonies or perfume making. This tree is also medicinal and the flowers are one of the ingredients in a chocolate drink called tejate. An aromatic fruit comes after the flowers. Nice for collectors.
