Laelia lucasiana
This beautiful miniature orchid species was found in a mountain in Brazil, naturally grows on fully exposed rocks. It doesn’t have to be grown as a lithophyte though, mounting and potting in bark work just fine. This species doesn’t mind cooler temperatures as long as it’s not freezing temps, and it is relatively easy to care for.
Description
This orchid enjoys a spot in bright indirect light with air circulation and a dry Winter season. Pot in a chunky mix that is well draining. Allow the medium to dry in between watering.
