Jacaranda cuspidifolia – Jacaranda Tree (email for availability)
This popular south Florida tree gets covered in purple blooms or flowers normally in the spring and is one of the most stunning tropical flowering trees in the world. This species is better than J. mimosifolia for Florida.
E-mail us with zip code if interested and we can check latest availability.
Description
The flowers could be either ‘Fairchild or ‘Sapphire’, but the tree needs to be mature. Please see photos of the grafted Jacaranda Fairchild and Sapphire.
The Jacaranda that you normally see is J. mimosifolia. It is not a dependable bloomer and you are gambling when you buy one. It grows and blooms well in California, but so-so in Florida.
J. cuspidifolia is a very dependable bloomer each year and it blooms heavy. The trees have to be mature to bloom.
We also sell grafts from time to time.
