Description

This Hoya has shiny thin ovate leaves with visible veins. I received a small plant of this in December 2015. To my surprise, it bloomed for me shortly after in March! The flowers are really unusual colors and I really think you will like them. The buds are lime green but the flowers open up brownish yellow with a yellow and red corona. The color may vary as I see that the photos on Epiphytica have a darker corona. The fuzzy flowers also have a very pleasant fragrance at night and they last up to one week! This is a rarely offered Hoya native to Ovalau Island which is the largest Island in Fiji.

We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light and we protect them well in the winter because they are tropical. Hoyas with thin leaves require more water, but do not keep them soaked, especially in the winter time.
