Description

This hoya is in the Eriostemma group. Some people used to identify it as Eriostemma ‘Apple Green.’ The leaves are typical Eriostemma leaves and they are a little bit pubescent. This hoya likes to stay warm and you really need to protect it from the cold. It enjoys bright filtered light, even a little bit of morning sun is okay and I would recommend this for getting it to flower. In the summer time, I water this hoya everyday.

The flowers are big, lime green color with showy yellow corona. It is an unusual color for a Hoya. The flowers also have a very nice fragrance, especially at night. I would not expect flowers until mature, but it is one of those Hoyas that a collector just has to have because the flowers are spectacular. This is a rarely offered hoya/eriostemma.

This information is based on growing hoyas outside in south FL. I would not recommend for beginners. I would not recommend for someone growing in a dark, dry and small indoor environment.
