Hoya erythrina GPS-10143 EPC-746 (2.5″ pot) (purple splotches)

Interesting and unique foliage. Delicious lemon scented flowers. Rarely offered.

Ships in 2.5″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, is an example on size plant for sale.
It can develop some purple/red splotches or spots on the leaves. This is normal and is harmless. Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.

This is a rarely offered species that is fairly easy to grow and fast growing. The leaves are unusual and unique. They are light green color with conspicuous dark green veins. Sometimes the leaves turn a reddish-purple color when exposed to lots of light which is attractive. The underside of the leaves have red/purple colored veins. This clone has a shorter leaf than the other Hoya erythrina clone. The leaves still reach a length of around 5″.

I like these flowers a lot more than my other clone. The yellow corollas have many white hairs which is always neat to see. The flowers have a very nice lemony citrus scent and it is so delicious. I couldn’t keep myself away from smelling it! Very nice plant for the collector! We grow our Hoyas outside in S. FL in filtered light, we only water when dry and we protect well from cold temperatures.
