Description

The correct name is Hoya chuniana although some people still call it H. chunii. It also used to be sold as H. sp. PNG6. This species has really attractive light green leaves with some visible white veins. The leaves are wavy on the edges. The flowers are also very nice and unique. The corolla is yellow-brown and the corona is a pale pink color with darker pink center. The flowers have a very pleasant strong fragrance. My mother plant blooms frequently with many flowers per umbel displaying a large cluster of flowers. The bottom line is; easy to grow, pretty, rarely offered, and an unusual one to add to your collection!
The only thing you need to be careful with is cold weather as it is very cold sensitive.

We grow our Hoyas outdoors in S. FL in filtered light, only water when dry, and protect well in the winter. Hoya chuniana is cold sensitive, keep above 50 F but protect when the temp gets below 60 F if possible.

All pictures were taken of my mature mother plants, not the plants for sale.
