Hoya carnosa (former H. skinneriana) plus a mystery cutting (4″ pot)

$20.00

Large clusters of pretty pink flowers. Fairly easy to grow and fast. Rarely offered. It seems that H. skinneriana was reclassified as a Hoya carnosa.

Ships in 4″ pot. You will receive the exact plant in photo #2. It has a Hoya skinneriana cutting and another mystery cutting in the pot.
Our plants are grown outside in FL, imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description

I purchased this Hoya from the late Chris Burton under the name Hoya skinneriana aka Dee’s Big one, although she believed that neither one of those names were accurate.
This is a vigorous growing Hoya with long oval leaves. It is very easy to grow and even beginners would do well with it.
My mother plant took two years to bloom from a small plant. The gorgeous flowers are pubicalyx-like but a distinct lighter pink color. The corona is more white than H. pubicalyx.
The cluster is larger than a Hoya carnosa cluster and also larger than a Hoya pubicalyx cluster. You will just fall in love with these blooms. I know I did.
This is very rarely offered.

We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in bright filtered light and this information is based on our growing conditions only. We only water them when they are dry, and we protect well in the winter.
