Hoya buotii (pink flowers) (3″ pot) (check back later)

$45.00

We received this as Hoya buotii ‘Dark Angel’ but I don’t see much information on this on the internet. The flowers on this H. buotii are typically pink which is more unusual than the yellow form. I have noticed that sometimes the flowers can be more yellow too. Absolutely gorgeous! Rarely offered.

Ships in 3″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, is an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description

This Hoya was published in 2002 by Dale Kloppenburg. This species has small, dark green, oval leaves.
This Hoya produces stunning, perfect star-shaped flowers. They remind me of little fuzzy starfish! The individual flowers are big and showy AND have a nice fruity scent with light perfume combination, at night.
This Hoya has been easy to grow for us and bloomed early. Once our mother plant reached blooming stage, it bloomed on and off through out most of the year.
This species is native to The Philippines.
We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light and we protect very well from cold temperatures. H. buotii has thin leaves, therefore requires more water than the normal succulent Hoya. This does not mean to keep the soil soaked, especially in the winter time.

All photos were taken of our mature mother plants in bloom, not of the young plants for sale.
