Description

The beautiful vining Epipremnum amplissimum, also known as the silver streak pathos, is a medium-size climbing or trailing vine that is low maintenance and hardy. The leaves are long and pointy and the blue-ish green stripes look silvery in the sunlight. It prefers bright, indirect sunlight, making it the perfect house plant. 4-6 hours of bright sunlight will help its leaves flourish without damage. Too little sun will revert the leaves back to dark green and too much sun will burn the foliage. When the top few inches of soil dry out, it is time to water it again, especially in the warmer months. In the cooler months, it may need to be watered less especially if you live in a colder climate. Use well-draining, light soil like orchid bark and perlite for example, and lots of organic matter for its nutritional needs. This plant will root rot, make sure there is good drainage- yellow leaves are often a sign of over-watering.
