This species of Cattleya displays a stunning yellowish orange flower with beautiful pointed petals and sepals in a star-shape. Against the green foliage, a stunning contrast is created when in bloom. This species easily reaches 3′ tall, bearing large flowers that poke above the foliage, so the plant looks really nice in gardens.

Description

Place in a position with bright indirect light, adequate air circulation and humidity. Allow the medium to dry in between watering. Pot in a soil mix of orchid bark, perlite and charcoal or something similar that provides excellent drainage and air flow to the roots. Protect from freezing temperatures.
