Bulbophyllum rothschildianum – Rothschild’s Bulbophyllum (mounted/blooming size)
This orchid is native to southern Yunnan Province of China, northeastern India, Assam and Myanmar.
A small-sized, hot to cool epiphyte growing orchid, that is easy to grow. The flowers are large, yellow with deep red/burgundy spots and bloom in a very unique shape.
Ships mounted, does not come with flowers.
Description
Bulbophyllum rothschildianum – Also known as Rothschild’s Bulbophyllum is native to India and China where they can be found growing on trees in the lowland forests. They are small-sized, growing epiphyte that can reach to be about 8 inches in height. One single leaf grows from the top of each pseudobulb. Their flowers start to appear in spring and fall, with a yellow background covered with deep red/burgundy spots. They grow best under bright filtered light, with good air circulation.
