Description
This Hoya has a different and unusual leaf shape. The leaves resemble a violin and the word pandurata actually means shaped like a violin. This hoya grows more like a shrub/bush and doesn’t twine. This Hoya did not take a long time to bloom and the flowers are adorable. It has a buttery yellow corolla and the corona is a slightly darker shade of yellow/orange with a little bit of pink in the center. You don’t usually see many flowers in a cluster, but the flowers last a long time. The flowers also smell exactly like cloves! I know I say this a lot, but this is one of my favorites because I really like both the flowers and the leaves. This is a rare hoya and it is very desirable for the avid hoya collector.
We grow our hoyas outside in filtered light, keeps soils slightly dry, and protect from cold temperatures. Hoyas also like to be pot bound.
