Hoya elliptica (4″ pot)
$35.00
This Hoya produces lovely white flowers when mature. The leaves are unusual and very attractive. The pretty foliage has a turtle shell-like pattern and can sometimes develop some silver flecks. This species is easy to grow outside in a tropical climate, but I would recommend for a more experienced Hoya collector. Can be tricky indoors without proper adjustments.
Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, shows an example on size for sale. ***BAMBOO may be removed if needed to fit in smaller box.
Our plants are grown outside in FL, imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description
Hoya elliptica has really pretty leaves AND flowers. The leaves are green with a pretty white vein pattern that makes me think of a turtle’s shell! I would purchase this species just for the foliage, but the flowers are quite beautiful as well. The flowers are mostly white with some red in the center. The flowers have a “fresh” scent, but not very strong for us. The pure white, star-shaped buds are so very pretty as well. This hoya has grown really well for us; it is a fast grower, easy to grow, blooms easily and blooms all the time. I would say this is a must have for your collection. We believe this clone is native to Malaysia or from southern Thailand. This is not Hoya elliptica IML 1679 that is known to be hard to grow. We grow our hoyas outdoors in filtered light. I would water H. elliptica a little more than the average succulent Hoya because it does not have thick leaves. Keep H. elliptica above 50°F. Hoyas also like to grow in small pots.
The photos were taken previously of my mother plant, not the plant for sale.
