Description

Tacca leontopetaloides is a herbaceous perennial producing clusters of leaves on petioles from a tuberous rootstock. They are seasonal bloomers and the flowers come in colors ranging from yellowish-green to purple. They are best grown in full sun to part shade. Evenly moist well-draining, nutrient-rich soil will keep these plants happy. These plants like a sandy type of soil mix, something that imitates their native habitat of coastal forests and shorelines.
