Description

Psidium guajava, also known as the common guava. They are native to the Caribbeans, Central America, and South America where they are grown as small trees or evergreen shrubs. They produce guava fruits which can range in size as little as apricots and become as big as grapefruits. This specific cultivar that we are offering has pink flesh and green/yellow skin. They bloom pretty, showy, white flowers. Due to their average growth rate, you can expect them to bloom and set fruit anywhere between two to eight years depending on the conditions. They have a pretty unique, thin, smooth trunk that has flakey bark that once it starts to peel away shows the greenish/white layer underneath.
