Description

The Jamaican cherry, also known as the Strawberry tree is a medium size tropical fruit tree that develops tons of red pea-size fruits. The fruits are sweet and delicious. The fruit can be seen year-round in a tropical climate.

It is nicknamed the Strawberry tree not because of the fruit, but because of the flowers which resemble those on a traditional strawberry plant. 

Fast growing and ideal for the garden. Can reach around 15 to 25 feet in the ground. Can be kept in containers, but will need pruning a few times a year. Likes full to partial sun, regular watering, and fertilizing.

Native to Mexico, The Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
