This is a dwarf or miniature tropical ginger with small but attractive foliage. This shade lover produces pinkish purple flowers. This plant is rarely offered for sale and a good plant for collectors.

Description

This is a rare peacock ginger that you don’t see offered very often. This miniature form will please the avid collector. It grows only to 2″ in height in filtered light conditions. It is a winter dormant. The plant will wake up in the spring time and the pinkish/purple flowers can be seen through out the summer time. Peacock gingers normally bloom first in the spring and then the leaves emerge after it is done flowering. This species in particular blooms at the same time as you see the foliage and it is very attractive. Keep it above 40F. Great for foliage lovers or anyone looking for something rare and unusual.
