Description
Vitellinoides means resembling vitellinus which in Latin means yellow egg yolk. It produces pale yellow flowers and off-white corona for me, perhaps darker yellow at times like the yolk.
This vitellinoides clone has really handsome leaves that grow quite big. The leaves can reach 8″ in length. I love the dark green vein pattern on the light green leaves; it is a great foliage plant for your patio. This Hoya grows really fast for me. The flowers are only a bonus, but it is actually an early bloomer and the flowers have a pleasant mild fragrance.
We grow our Hoyas outside in S. FL in filtered light, water only after the soil drys, and protect from cold temperatures.
***All photos were taken of our mature mother plants in bloom, not of the young plants for sale.
