Description
Once upon a time this one was sold as Hoya meliflua ssp. fraterna. This species develops one of the longest leaves in the Hoya family; up to 12″ long! It has thick, narrow, succulent dark green leaves. It has much larger leaves than my H. meliflua. It grows really fast and makes a nice hanging basket plant for your patio. I have seen flowers sporadically year round on mature plants. The flowers are attractive and pleasantly fragrant. I would recommend this hoya to beginners.
We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, only water when dry, and we protect well from cold temperatures.
