Description

We purchased this Hoya from Liddle’s Nursery in Australia as a cutting. It came labeled Hoya sp. vitellina from Java, also sold as IPPS 7203. That is Ted Green’s interpretation according to David Liddle’s catalog.
The flowers are a gorgeous, really unusual orange color with a big white corona that really pops. In my opinion, the flowers smell like a tropical fruit with a hint of perfume. It took 2.5 years to bloom for me from a cutting. It is also a frequent bloomer (in ideal conditions) once it is mature.
The leaves are also really attractive and you can enjoy this hoya without flowers. The leaves are green with dark green veins and also some flecks. This hoya is rarely offered for sale.

We grow our hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, keep soils slightly dry and protect well from cold temperatures.
