Description
This Hoya has pretty leaves that are oval shaped and develop a dark bluish green color. Some of the leaves have flecks. This Hoya has grown really well and fast for us. It forms these unusual, hard stems that sometimes you cannot even twist if you tried. I would recommend that you train the stems around a trellis when the plant is still young.
This Hoya produces lovely blooms once mature that are fuzzy like velvet. Flowers are white with a dark pink to pale pink corona. The flowers have an unusual but pleasant perfume fragrance. We believe that this species will bloom better/quicker for someone in a cooler climate than south Florida. This Hoya is native to Thailand and is rarely offered for sale.
We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, only water when dry, and protect from cold temperatures.
