Description
This Hoya is also known as Hoya ‘VitVit’. It’s a cross between Hoya vitellinoides and Hoya vitellina. Michael Miyashiro from Hawaii is the hybridizer. This hoya has beautiful, big, round, shiny leaves that get a beautiful red color when exposed to brighter light. The foliage also gets some silver flecks & has visible veins. The margins are re-curved & the leaf is con-caved looking like a hat. The underside of the leaves is a little pubescent.
This hoya is a good bloomer and it gets flowers that are very pretty and unusual. It blooms with bright yellow corollas & light pink coronas with a lighter center, I just love these two colors together! You get the best of both worlds with this hoya; attractive flowers and foliage!
We grow our hoyas outside in filtered light, keep the soil slightly dry and protect from cold temperatures.
