Hoya nervosa IML 1818 (4″ pot)

$15.00

This Hoya develops large wide succulent leaves with many visible veins. Once mature, it produces glossy white flowers with pink and white corona. In my opinion, the flowers smell like chocolate.

Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2 and #3 ONLY, are an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description

We purchased this Hoya directly from Liddle’s Nursery in Australia. This species develops big, wide leaves. The leaves are displayed with many veins on the underside and some on the top side, therefore why it was named nervosa.
My mother plants grew very big and long quickly, perhaps 6 feet long, but was not an early bloomer.
This is perhaps a species that requires some cooler nights in order to flower or even to grow indoors with artificial lights. I would recommend it for someone with good room for a large hoya.
The flowers remind me of a white Hoya carnosa, or Hoya motoskei and they do in fact smell the same as Hoya carnosa for me which is chocolate! Very pretty glossy white flowers with a little bit of pink.
Rarely offered for sale.
We grow our Hoyas outside in south FL in filtered light, they only get watered when it rains or when dry, and are well protected from cold temperatures.

All photos were taken of my mature mother plants, not the plants for sale.
