The flowers on the H. mindorensis are lovely and showy. The flowers have really neat white hairs surrounding a deep red corona and corolla. The scent of the flowers is mild but you can see the clusters any time of the year on mature plants. H. mindorensis is a non-stop bloomer for me during the spring and summer, but I also see sporadic flowers in the fall and winter.
The leaves on this species are green with no visible veins. This hoya does really well indoors if you give it good light and the right conditions like humidity and air circulation. This hoya is native to The Philippines and needs to be well protected in the winter time. I prefer to grow my hoyas outdoors (during warm months) in filtered light for maximum flowers. This hoya is drought tolerant.
