Hoya meliflua (4″ pot) (clear-out price)

$10.00

This Hoya has gorgeous and fragrant pinkish red flowers when mature. I would describe the scent as chocolate. Handsome succulent leaves with typically not many imperfections. This is an easy to grow species for beginners.

Our plants are grown outside in FL, imperfections/blemishes are possible.

Description

The flowers on the Hoya meliflua are pink and normally have 5 chestnut colored stains from the nectar. The flowers last a long time and they smell like chocolate, in my opinion! I have seen flowers in the spring, summer, and fall on my mature mother plants. The leaves are succulent-like, dark green, and glossy. This Hoya isn’t much of a climber, but looks really nice hanging in a basket. Great hoya to add to your collection, it is a strong hoya that grows very well. This hoya can tolerate freezing temperatures for a short period of time although I would avoid this, especially when it is a young plant! This species is native to The Philippines. This Hoya is sometimes called “The little fraterna.”

All photos were taken of my mature mother plants, not the plants for sale.
