Hoya aff. merrillii (4″ pot)

I received this one as H. tjadasmalangensis but the blooms tell me this is more of a merrillii variant. The leaves turn red in high light. Attractive foliage plant and easy to grow.

Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, is an example on size plant for sale.
Red/purple leaves are not guaranteed! This can be achieved with high light.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are possible.

This has got to be the hardest Hoya name to pronounce, but it is an easy one to grow.
This special Hoya develops gorgeous large leaves with a stunning vein pattern. The foliage develops beautiful burgundy colors if given more light. Please keep in mind that if grown in a darker setting that your leaves may not develop the pretty dark colors. This species is purchased more for the attractive leaves.

The flowers are not flashy colors, but it blooms fairly early and it is a frequent bloomer once established. Many clusters can be seen on a plant at one time.

We grow our hoyas outside in south Florida in filtered light, they only get watered when it rains or when the soil is dry and they are well protected from cold temperatures.
