Description

This hoya was named after Dale Kloppenburg who is a well known Hoya collector and publisher.
This Hoya has green, hard cardboard-like leaves with silver flecks. The edges of the leaves have an extra thick layer which is a very interesting characteristic. The underside of the leaves are purple color or can have a lot of purple dots. If you give this Hoya more bright filtered light, the top side of the leaves also turn purple! The length of the leaf can also get quite big; about 7″ long.

This Hoya produces adorable and very unusual flowers. The corolla is golden yellow with touches of pink and the corona is yellow. I just love these unique cuties!
This hoya is slow to grow from a cutting, but grows quite well once rooted for a while.
This hoya is very rare and very desirable for the avid Hoya collector.

We grow our hoyas outside in south Florida in filtered light, keep soils on the dry side and protect from cold temperatures.
