Description

Hoya kerrii tends to develop black dots on some leaves from living outside in south FL at our nursery. The spots are not a disease and will not affect the plants health.

Please understand that sometimes the leaves are not always a perfect heart shape.

This hoya is nicknamed the Sweetheart hoya or Valentine Hoya. It is at first a slow growing Hoya with large, succulent, heart shaped leaves. Once it gets going it is a fast grower and will need a lot of room. Once root-bound, it blooms often during the warmer months. The flowers are quite nice, off white corollas and a mahogany corona that really stands out. There is a sweet nectar that oozes out of the corona and “stains” the corolla! This is a hoya more for the foliage lover and that you can enjoy without flowers, but please understand that sometimes the leaves are not always a perfect heart shape. I would recommend this easy to grow, drought tolerant plant for a beginner.

All pictures were taken of our mature mother plants, not the young plants for sale.
