Description

*Hoya kanyakumariana tends to develop black dots on some leaves from living outside in south FL at our nursery. The spots are not a disease and will not affect the plants health.

*This hoya also does not grow many roots very quickly. Please understand that you will be receiving a rooted plant that is actively pushing out new growth, but please don’t expect a root bound plant.

This is a perfect species for collectors who like Hoyas with small leaves and have limited space. It gets fuzzy flowers that are a very neat color. The corolla is white and the corona is white with a purple and yellow center. This contrast makes the flowers look like an unusual gray color. You can see flowers any time during the year on mature plants and the flowers have a sweet, pleasant fragrance! The leaves are also very different and pretty too. It is a hoya you can enjoy even without the flowers. This hoya is a slow grower at first, but becomes a nice full plant once it gets going. Make sure to keep this hoya on the dry side and keep it in a shady area. Filtered light outside is ideal or it can also be grown inside by a window. This hoya grows well in a hanging basket. This one can take freezing temperatures for a short period of time. It is native to India.
