Hoya hybrid EPC-1017 (4″ pot)

$25.00

We formerly sold this as EPC-1018. There has been a lot of confusion lately over a few of Jack/Epiphytica’s hybrids. We recently (summer 2023) had a long text discussion with Jack to try to clear it up. He confessed that he had a few new hybrids without names/numbers and he ended up giving/selling them to a few friends (we were one of them) and just quickly made up EPC accession numbers. Much later, he organized his hybrids and ended up changing some numbers around. He told us as of summer 2023, that this one should now be EPC-1017.
Interesting, sometimes wonky leaves and citrus scented flowers. You can see many different looking leaves on one plant. Uncommon and unique.

Ships in 4″ pot. Photo #2 ONLY, is an example on size plant for sale.
Our plants are grown outside in FL; imperfections/blemishes are typical for this one.

Description

This is a hybrid from Epiphytica. It is said to be a cross between H. vitellina and H. finlaysonii.
It has pretty leaves but also a bit quirky. It developed 4 different shaped leaves on my mother plant! Most of the leaves are typically light green with dark green venation and they are quite wavy. It also has dark brown margins (like vitellina).

It bloomed in 9 months from a rooted cutting. It has small cream and pale pink colored flowers. They smell really good and citrusy. Really gorgeous and unique Very rarely offered.

We grow our hoyas outside in south Florida. They are grown in bright indirect light and only get watered when dry. Protect well from cold temperatures.
