Description
This is a cross between H. wayetii and H. sp. DS-70. This hoya grows fast and it took less than a year for my un-rooted cutting to first bloom.
The leaves are similar to Ds-70 or aff. burtoniae but are more narrow and sometimes long like wayetii. This hoya is a small hybrid that is good for people with limited space.
If you expose your plant to a lot of indirect light you can see green, dark purple, and pinkish/orange leaves on your plant which is so pretty (Just see the pictures I provided of my mother plant).
The flowers are larger than H. sp. DS-70 or aff. burtoniae and very similar to H. wayetii in size. Flowers are dark red, corona has yellow tips and the flowers have a delicious sweet fragrance. My mother plant blooms non-stop. This Hoya is rarely offered for sale.
We grow our hoyas outside in S. FL in filtered light, keep soils on the dry side and protect from cold temperatures.
